About Michele
Naturopathic Doctor: Founder of the Loewe Naturopathic Wellness Center, Dr. Loewe is a natural medicine health expert who focuses on providing high quality evidence based natural medicine therapies in a personalized and compassionate way. Michele has decades of experience supporting individuals in improving their physiological function, restoring vitality and quality of life, and prevention of chronic disease for enhancing longevity.
Education: Michele earned her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and University Honors from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan and was honored by WSU two years in a row as Outstanding Student Leader for her environmental and social justice activism. Michele completed her naturopathic medicine training at the National College of Naturopathic Medicine (now called National University of Natural Medicine) in Portland Oregon where she graduated with her doctorate of naturopathic medicine in 1997. At NCNM, Michele did extensive studies in clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, physical medicine and natural obstetrics. Michele has run naturopathic healing centers in Golden, Colorado and Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Michele has a deep love for educational pedagogy, and has been teaching Healthy Kids nutrition and movement classes at Madonna University’s Dept. of Education for over 15 years, she founded and ran a school garden, homeschooled her two sons in their early years, and has coached more that 15 science olympiad events. Michele volunteers extensively in her community and her hobbies include hiking, conservation work, and dancing.
Michele is a founder member and past president of the Michigan Association of Naturopathic Doctors and a member of various professional organizations including the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians, the Institute of Functional Medicine and The Flower Essence Society.
